They are available at Dollar Tree. Please empty and dry before coming to class. Note: The bleach is great poured into the backs of your toilets to sanitize them!
This Snowman makes a great large decoration and the tummy is a great place to put a small gift too.

The kit will include everything needed except the bleach bottle and a few basic supplies.
The little things to go inside will vary and there will be "top" hats or "lady" hats.  You can choose. I will have at least 5 of each, probably more top hats.

BRING: Please bring sharp craft scissors. A little bottle of Tacky Glue (Dollar Tree.)  A hot glue gun if you have one. (I have a few to share, of course.) Little quilt binding clips or small bag clips (Dollar Tree) or even large paper clips.  If you have special small items you want to use inside your snow man/lady please bring them. I will have a variety for everyone’s use as part of the kit.

WORKSHOP LEADER: Judi Ward

Would you like to try journaling? It is easy and fun. Anyone can do it. There are no hard and fast rules; you do what works for you.
This is not a how-to workshop but a round table discussion. We will share what we are doing and any tips, tricks or ideas we may have. If there is time we can work in our journals together. If there are new people who want to get started we will help.
Come prepared to share 1 thing with the group. It might be a journal page or spread you especially like, a tool, a technique, a supply or an idea.  Anything goes!

7. TITLE OF CLASS:  6. TITLE OF CLASS:  Decoupage Glass Plates

DESCRIPTION:   Decoupage or découpage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper/fabric cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements. Commonly, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cutouts from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers.
In this workshop you will create a decorative plate that can be customized for any holiday or event. It uses a reverse decoupage technique on the back of the plate. This allows you to use the front of the plate for food.
Once you learn this fun technique it is easy to make special plates for ANY occasion! They also make wonderful, personalized gifts.

CLASS SIZE: 10 Max.

KIT: No

BRING: A clear glass plate (Dollar Tree has a good selection). Mod Podge (Your desired finish. Note: Mod Podge does make a version they say is dish washer safe but I’d still hand wash the plate). Sponge brush. A fat quarter fabric or small scraps you wish to use. Pencil. Sharp small scissors. A plastic cutting mat (it makes a safe place for your plate to dry. Dollar Tree has them). A small plastic bowl (in which to put the Mod Podge as you work with it).  If you are really ambitious, or have several ideas, bring supplies for more than one plate.

WORKSHOP LEADERS: Ms. Mable & Vontina Collick

PROPOSED DAY & TIME:  Friday, 12:30 to 1:30

8.  TITLE OF CLASS:  Fairy Wands

DESCRIPTION:   Let's make more magic on Fairy Tale Friday! It's Tiara Time! The Fairy Hair Fairy will be here! Who knows - maybe a Prince will show up!
With or without your tiara, we all need a magic wand. Let's spread wishes! Random acts of kindness! Bonks on the heads of toads! Make a gift for someone who needs more magic in their life! Let your inner child out!
This class will have a demo to start us off. Because drying time is needed for the glitter paint (what's a wand without glitter?)  I’ll show you several ideas and give you the basic kit and process. Then you will be free to create your own individual look.

(The  photo will be posted to our FB group soon)

CLASS SIZE: Max. 20

KIT: $5 The kit includes a dowel, two Styrofoam balls, a corsage pin, a foam brush and access to multiple colors of ribbon, glitter paint and glue.

BRING: If you want special charms on your wand, bring them. Special fibers/ribbons will be great – if you have scraps of eyelash yarn or those ends of specialty threads from embroidery bring them! If you want to raid the Button Buffet to cover one or both of your balls, that's a plan! If you want to glue large sequins to your wand, hit up Michael's or Wal-Mart. There is a lot of room for individuality and creativity here. These make great stocking stuffers and special gifts!
