WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
SBTS Spring 2016

To register please e-mail  Sandy with your class selections by March 1st.  First come, first served.

1. TITLE:  Little Bunnies

DESCRIPTION:
I have sewn the bunnies and the rest is turning, stuffing, doing a bit of simple hand work and adding bits and pieces with hot glue and tying the ribbons. Even the vest is one piece and can be sewn or hot glued at the shoulders.
The printed Bunny in the picture is made from woven cotton. The kit contains fabric for bunnies made from a firm knit, not printed cotton. You can make more bunnies later from your quilting fabrics....and....make a quilt and a bunny for an Easter gift!

CLASS SIZE: 14 absolute max.

KIT :  $7  Your kit contains everything (except the things to bring listed below) including a pattern with brief directions so you can make more bunnies.

BRING:. Bring hot glue and a gun if you have one... An extension cord... Sharp scissors...polyester stuffing ( half a bag is plenty)... a stuffing tool ( I prefer a long, flat blade screwdriver)...A hemostat for turning if you have one...(I have several to share)  A fairly long hand sewing needle and thread in cream...(Be sure you can see the eye of the needle!...)

WORKSHOP LEADER: Judi Ward

DAY/TIME: Friday 1-3 PM

2. TITLE:   Switch Plates that look like little quilts

BRING:. Bring a switch or socket plate. Take one off the wall at home or buy a new one. (Wal-Mart has them for 57 cents.) Bring a quilt magazine so you can choose a quilt picture to use for your plate. Bring white glue, a pencil and scissors.

DAY/TIME: Thursday 4-5 PM

3. TITLE: 10 Minute Quilt Squares.

DESCRIPTION: These are demoed on Pinterest and You Tube, but none of my quilt friends thought it made a lot of sense so I "figured" it out and have demoed it many times now.  It is NOT my idea, I am just making it simple.
I will demo 2 versions, and show how to change the sizes etc.
I have made a twin size Christmas quilt using the large cathedral window "look" version,  and am going to make 4 more for Grand Daughters.  I will bring the finished quilt with me for show and tell at the class.
